The principle of operation of an alternating current alternator

In the excitation coil, which is located in the rotor, a magnetic field is created in the coil, and the rotating crankshaft of the engine begins to identically rotate the rotor of the alternator. Thanks to the voltage regulator, the rotating alternator rotor becomes an adjustable electromagnet, which induces electromotive force in the alternator starter coils. In this way, an alternating voltage is created in the stator coils, which is equalized and converted into a direct voltage with the help of a rectifier (diodes).
